Review: Fantastic place to stay. Everything was perfetto! Best hospitality we ever experienced during our 3 weeks tour in Northern America. Super house with a fantastic view of the Okanagan Lake which could also been seen from the outside SPA. Spacious and well decorated bedroom, so was the bathroom. Unbelievable breakfast! never the same during the 2 nights we were there.
A dream!

To Ming and Walter - many thanks for sharing your house with us. Ming and Walter are excellent hosts, but they have also raised the standards of B&B. We are towards the end of a 5 week holiday in BC and western Alberta and Apples and Quails is the best B&B we have visited. "Attention to Detail" is really seen and enjoyed - the quality standards are so high most places will never be able to attain the same level of service. Even the sheets are ironed and they only provide quality toilet paper - something we have not seen on our travels. This B&B is a credit to Ming and Walter, and we wish them well in the future. Kind Regards C&M LaverHighcliffe, Dorset. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Apples & Quails. We stayed for three nights this August – two in the Country Blue room and one night in the smaller Apples ‘n Spice room. Our hosts, Ming and Walter, were very friendly and attentive, taking the time to get to know each guest. The breakfast was delicious – we had daily choices with both sweet and savoury, and any special dietary request was accommodated. Out of the two rooms we stayed in, we like Country Blue the best. It was quite a large private room with a shared common living room and spacious patio. Even with other guests, the living room provided a buffer so we felt quite secluded and the patio was set up with intimate seating arrangements for each suite. The whole BnB was immaculately clean and well appointed with comfortable, high quality bedding, a lovely tub and shower, cute decorations, and chocolates on the bed each night. The mornings and evenings spent on the patio or in the garden, watching the quail families and the spectacular view with our coffees or glasses of wine were so relaxing. The Apples ‘n Spice room upstairs was as well appointed with linens and furniture, albeit in a smaller space tucked off the kitchen and main entrance. Some of the touches that made this BnB stand out were the delicious daily treats provided upon our return later in the day, the wholesome homemade muffins and fruit leather sent with us to fortify us on our hikes and tours, the amazing breakfasts and, most importantly, the two hosts who astutely anticipated other touches to make our stay pleasurable, like setting out dishes for one evening’s picnic on the deck. Overall, Apples & Quails comes highly recommended by us, so much so that we are planning another stay there next summer! NtD, Calgary

All of the wonderful reviews for Apples and Quails did not lie - this B&B was everything we had hoped for and more. We spent two nights with Ming and Walter and never wanted to leave! The house itself has a stunning view over Summerland which was a welcome sight every morning. Along with the view was an amazing breakfast that was beautifully (and deliciously) prepared. They were even kind enough to work with our dietary needs which was very much appreciated. We happened to be there on our own so we had full run of all amenities - common room with fireplace, kitchen (with fresh baked cookies and dried apples), hot tub, porch, dvds, etc. From the minute we arrived we were made to feel at home and were completely comfortable. Our room - The Quail's Nest - was perfect. The most amazing bed accompanied by a cute window seat really made our stay. The large bathroom (with a soaker tub!) was the perfect size for us to share. We will absolutely return to Apples and Quails and can't thank Ming and Walter enough for the perfect end to our trip. From TravellingDuo4 October 2013 Victoria, BC

From the minute we arrived to the time we left, Ming and Walter did everything to make our stay welcoming, comfortable and delicious. Their home is situated on Giant's Head, with a spectacular view from every room, including the balconies, of the Okanagan Lake and surrounding hills. The bedrooms are tastefully appointed, private and comfortable. Ming and Walter are gracious and thoughtful without being imposing. We particularly appreciated being able to make choices about our breakfast on a menu provided the night before and served the following morning, on the balcony overlooking the lake. Three families of quail in the garden provided delightful dining entertainment.
We would highly recommend a few delights of Summerland and surrounding areas. True Grain Bread and SASS boutique on Main Street; The Summerland Ornamental Gardens; and the Linden Gardens in Kaleden and the Vanilla Pod at Poplar Grove Winery in Penticton.
Ming and Walter are exemplary hosts and provide a home away from home that is a delight to the senses. From Esme, BC

We had a great stay at Apples and Quails last weekend. The hosts, Ming and Walter, are friendly, welcoming and had good suggestions for places to visit/eat in Summerland and the surrounding areas. They are also interesting people and great conversationalists. We stayed in the Quail's Nest room. The rooms and house are spotless and cozy. In most places I stay, I won't take my shoes off to walk around the room. In this place I walked around in my bare feet! There is also a very nice deck in the back with a great view of the lake. And, yes, there are quails in the backyard. The food is excellent, with a sweet and savory choice every day. Ming also makes excellent treats that will be waiting for you every afternoon (I won't spoil the surprise by telling you what the are). The chocolates on the bed are a nice touch too. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Thanks Ming and Walter for your hospitality. From NZ, Vancouver
